Naturopathy is a natural healing technique/ method using the natural healing power or powers of nature. Generally if anyone adjusts with nature and keeps vegetarian diet, that too eating vegetables, fruits, green leaves, other herbals and honey etc, then it removes most of the toxins from the body and keeps healthy.  

Therefore, the principle is that the accumulation of toxins is the root cause of all diseases. Toxins forms in our body before or after digestion of food depending on the type of each and every good or bad item consumed. Prevention and (or) removal of toxins is the route to health. There is no role or need of internal medications in the nature cure system (naturopathy). Also, yoga (asanas) and mudras also play additional role to expedite curing diseases.

The healing properties of nature – the sun, air, the earth and water are employed as natural cures and do the pranic healing automatically. As the primary cause of all diseases, according to naturopathy, is the conscious or unconscious violation of Nature’s laws, and disease in reality is a self-purifying effort by the body to heal itself – takes place when natural laws are being followed.

Mainly, the five elements of nature and the treatments based on them are:

  1. Earth – Mud baths, Mud packs etc.
  2. Water – Hydrotherapeutic methods like Baths, Jets, Douche, Packs, Compresses, Immersions.
  3. Air – Breathing exercises, Open air baths/ walking.
  4. Fire – Sun baths, Magnetised water, Colour charged oils / water etc
  5. Ether & Yoga – Fasting therapy + Yoga + Mudras etc.

Other Naturopathic Therapies:

  • Oriental healing techniques like Reflexology, Acupressure, Acupuncture and Auriculo therapy, Food and Nutrition, Magneto therapy, Physiotherapy, Chromo therapy etc.

This multi disciplinary approach or collective methods uses the healing power of natural resources like foods, herbs, earth, water, air, sun and magnets to allow the body to heal itself. It helps in degenerative and chronic conditions like diabetic, asthma and arthritis, gastro-intestinal problems, head-ache, hypertension and other problems.

Any disease can be cured by keeping direct pure water, raw vegetables, green leaves + grass, fruits, grains, curd/butter milk, honey etc in the form of juice, salad, half cooked/ boiled, dried under the sun light, powder, or any kind of mixture will keep healthy without any problems. (Vegetables, leaves during day time and fruits in the night).

But, people who can not take natural diet / food three times, only during afternoon lunch they can have cooked items including rice and other times can follow direct raw items.


General tips/ Advise to follow Natural/ Organic food items are:

1. Drink at least half or one liter of water every day morning in the empty stomach.

2. Finish daily duties like Urinating & Motioning completely (advised twice a day actually). So that most of the toxins can be removed. If you have tight motion issues, please take 1 or 2 spoons of dingily oil or coconut oil or caster oil before dinner and next day it will help with free motion. Or take Enema. If the motion stays in the body then most of the problems starts.

3. Avoid coffee/ tea or any other drink like boost/ horlicks etc. Take Fresh water 1 cup and add squeeze little lemon some 10 drops. Then add some 2 spoons of honey. Mix well and drink. You can also have Hariallee Grass (Arugampul/ Doorva) juice or Thulsi Juice or Bael Leaves (Bilva) juice or Ash Guard juice or Tomato Juice or Tender Cocunut or White Carrot, Banana Tree Stem Juice etc with honey or Jaggery (Do not use white sugar as it accelerates diabetes). You can have different combinations everyday.

4. Have breakfast with good vegetables (organic if possible). Directly or like salad mixture as however you like. Carrot, Ladies Finger, Beetroot, Cabbage, Beans, Cucumber, Tomato, Coconut pieces etc with pepper and honey or lemon. You can have your own combination. You can also add coriander, mint (pudhina), Curry Leaf with all your main / starter and this will help you to push the toxins out of the body as quickly as possible.

5. If you have very sever problem like diabetes, cancer, leprosy, TB, AIDS etc and other chronic diseases then please follow similar diet during lunch (as said above) and additionally you can have butter milk, fruit juice or fruits. You can also follow diet like eat whenever you are hungry. In case of manageable diseases under control/ limit the have cooked/ boiled food items for lunch with some fruits or salads. Have more tender coconut or butter milk as well. Mostly avoid deep oily or fried items with more masala/ chilli (spicy) etc.

6. During dinner time take it around 7 pm if possible before 8 pm. Mostly fruits are quite good for dinner. Apple, Orange, Dates, Pomegranate, Papaya, Watermelon, Sweet Sop, Strawberry, Sapodilla, Mango, Jack Fruit, Fig, Grapes, Kiwi, Guava, Custard Apple and other varieties of fruits with milk or wine or honey etc. You can make salad as per your choice and eat well.

7. If cooked/ baked or boiled food are consumed then you must be cautious for diet under control mainly like diabetes as banana, jack fruit, mango etc will raise the sugar level bit. But, if you don’t consume cooked items then you are free to eat any raw items as it wont harm you in any way.

8. Less oil in the food will keep you long living. So do not add oil too much while preparing food items. But olive oil is quite good for dressing etc.

9. Slowly you can reduce the medicines as per physician’s advise along with naturopathy way of eating. This will help you to keep alkaline and acidity in control as 70% and 30% ratio. If it is reversed the it is purely because of junk foods and oily – cooked items or irregular diet i.e. against the nature of the body as how it needs only.

Follow these other than the above said natural diet:

1. Do Pranayama (Breathe Control) and Simple Yoga & Mudras as per the requirement.
2. Regular Massage, Steam Bath, Sun Bath and Mud Bath if required.
3. Do oil pulling everyday (Gingily oil or Coconut oil – keep in mouth for 10 minutes and gargle in the teeth portion without drinking  Then slowly spit out and wash your mouth twice.
4. Keep Juice or Water or Empty stomach fasting as per your convenient once in a week or ten days.
5. Go for Jogging, Simple Exercises, 8 cross Walking, Regular Walking and Swimming whichever possible.
6. Some of the Leafy items can be taken or consumed directly. If not possible, make half boiled and then add in your regular food.
7. Do mediation and Alpha stage in meditation is very powerful.
8. Have good and deep sleep during night without too much of thinking – 7 to 8 hrs sleep is good.
9. Try to avoid non-veg items mostly. (Fish and Egg are OK up to some extend).
10. Be present and Happy.
